over the weekend my car got broken into in the past I would have been angry I would have probably tried to find whoever broke into my car and kill them The rest rest of the day I would have been an asshole to everyone around me But on Saturday morning I looked at the broken glass and thought "this sucks but theres nothing I can do about it" yes, it sucks and inconvenient but I will not have it change me And the reason for that is because I said to myself "Im going to have an amazing day" When shit isnt going your way or you feel like the world is against you do you have a phrase or word that helps you act in spite of your feeling and emotions ? For me it was "Im going to have an AMAZING day" So if today you're having the case of the 'Mondays' what are you telling yourself today to get out of the rut Leave a comment below Id love to know - Coach Christian

- 20oz of water
- 1 full avocado - ¼ of mixed berries - 1 scoop of chocolate protein - 3-4 handfuls of kale Usually when we set goals or start to brainstorm we come up with our "what", the thing or the goal we want to accomplish, the end product.
But immediately after doing this we complicate shit. We go straight to "how". WHAT then HOW, skipping everything in between. When you go from what to how you will set yourself up for failure. The "how" will become to big or complicated. You either won't start or you will give up before you can get to your "what". I'll have you consider that if you follow my process below you will be more successful. I’m writing to you on a humid Monday morning from the gym. I had a great weekend with my girlfriend, Rachel, and our 3 dogs (Columbus, Clementine and Jake). We enjoyed a hike up Stone Mountain and watched The CrossFit Games. If you've never watched the games you will be shocked for what the athletes can do. The winners were the same as last year, Tia Clair Toomey and Mat Fraser. After Tia sealed her win to be crowned the Fittest Woman on Earth she was asked, “What has been your main contribution in your physical and mental strength?” Tia replied, “Hard work and Commitment.” STOP DIETING…. Put good fuel into your body by ADDING IN what you need NOT taking it away. No more calorie restricted diets or counting points!
DRINK WATER…. Drink half your body weight in ounces of water. EAT A CLEAN DIET…. Stick to food as close to it’s natural form as you can and is processed or refined as little as possible. EAT YOUR VEGETABLES…. Eat a colorful variety at every meal. There is such a wonderful variety you are bound to find some you like. One serving = 1 cup raw or ½ cup cooked. Cindy - A forty pound cinder block wrapped in chains.
What Cindy represents is the adversity we all face at some point in our lives. That heavy weight that holds us down. We all carry burdens. We all have to stay strong to carry them. But sometimes those burdens are too tough to carry by yourself. We don’t have to deal with our problems on our own and there will always be people willing to help carry whatever is holding you down. THE GIVE TEAM has instilled this metaphor in their races. Each race Cindy starts with the team. And throughout the race each member takes turns carrying her. If you didn't know, last week I was in Huntington Beach, California for the Warrior Wealth Business and Leadership Summit. Three days of pure fire and valuable resources. Now you would think that since the words like WEALTH, BUSINESS and LEADERSHIP are in the title that ALL we would hear about would be greatest and latest tactics in regards to business. More stuff on marketing, sales, accounting, systems, taxes to name a few. Sure those things have a degree of importance in business BUT… we didn’t really hear or discuss those things at all. I’ll have you consider that no area of your business works without FIRST working on yourself. Whether you own a business or work for a business it all starts with you. 1. Write It Down – I would sit down and really think about what i wanted for myself at the end of 2018 and then write it down on paper. I would look at what I wrote down and then ask myself “why” I want that. Every goal would be measurable, repeatable and observable. For example: Run 1 mile in under 6 minutes and Squat 400 lbs. by December 21, 2018
2. Hire a Coach – It’s easy to tell yourself you’ll do it tomorrow when you’re checking in with yourself but if you have to check in with someone else you will more than likely do it, especially when your coach will call you out when you don’t do what you said you would. Don’t do it on your own, the most successful people have coaches and they are already successful. So if they’re not going at it alone I wouldn’t either. A great Coach will bridge the gap from where you are to where you want to go. It's New Years time again. In the next few weeks, most people will have already given up on their New Year’s resolutions:
Why are these people failing at their goals? The real questions I want to ask is, have you given up on your goals? Do you know what your fitness goals for this year are? Whether you have given up on your goals or not, or just want a different approach - keep reading these proven tips to help you achieve what you want this year. Review the prior year before planning the next one. We have to think about the previous year in order to move forward. Spend some time reflecting on the past year:
Good morning guys,
Yesterday started the 4th quarter of 2015. Businesses nationwide are preparing for the holidays: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's. For most of us, we are also getting ready for the holidays. Planning and preparing for parties, hanging out with family and what not. But during this season what happens to our fitness goals? Our workout routine? Clothes start to feel a little tighter, walking up the stairs gets a little harder, carrying those groceries becomes heavier. Our goals get brushed aside and people wait till the “New Year” to get back on track. |
